The teaser for 'Bhagavanth Kesari' ends with Nandamuri Balakrishna playing an instrument and making his fellow travellers hum along. This scene is tonally contrasting with the rest of the teaser, wherein we see the hero bash up and warn baddies. He is flammable because he is Telangana 'kaaram'.
The teaser opens with Arjun Rampal's character introduced as a ruthless lord. In comes the hero, forcefully referring to himself as Nelakonda Bhagavanth Kesari. Somewhere, he says, “Ee Peru Shaana Yellu Yaaduntadi". This Dasara, when the film hits the cinemas, we will know how long the newest mass hero on the Telugu silver screen is going to be remembered.
Director Anil Ravipudi appears to have portrayed the 'Akhanda' actor as a sober, aged saviour with a heavy past. The heroism and the aura built around it don't seem to be a rip-off of the style adopted by Boyapati Srinu and Gopichand Malineni.
The film, starring Kajal Aggarwal and Sree Leela, has music by SS Thaman. Produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi, its action choreography is by V Venkat.
The mass entertainer comes with the caption 'I Don't Care'. Its teaser was today unveiled on 108 screens.
