'Martin Luther King', directed by debutante Poja Kolluru, is the official remake of the Tamil film 'Mandela' (2021). A political satire, the film has Sampoornesh Babu reprising the role originally played by Yogi Babu. The film will be released in theatres on October 27.
In its teaser, unveiled today by YNOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment, we see VK Naresh and Venkatesh Maha as rivals in a village divided between Northerners and Southerners. They are contesting for the post of President by mobilizing their respective castes. When the voting ends in a tie, they need one deal-breaker. He is a nameless outcast played by Sampoornesh Babu.
Venkatesh Maha of 'Care Of Kancharapalem' fame is its creative producer. With the story written by Madonne Ashwin, the film has the screenplay and dialogues by Venkatesh Maha. The cinematography is by Deepak Yaragera. Edited by Puja Kolluru, the music has been done by Smaran Sai. Rohan Singh is its production designer. The sound design is by Sachin Sudhakaran and Hariharan M (Sync Cinema).
