Koratala Siva, who deactivated his social media accounts last year, today issued a video statement about 'Devara'. To everyone's surprise, the filmmaker revealed that the film would be made in two parts. The 'Janatha Garage' maker attributed the decision to the span and large canvas of the Jr NTR-starrer.
"I have something exciting to share about 'Devara'. When I narrated the story to NTR garu, everyone was excited about the many strong characters, the huge canvas, and the new world we were going to create. We commenced the shoot with a high and confidence. As the project progressed, the world of 'Devara' has gotten bigger and bigger. Every episode has given us a literal high! After two or three schedules, when we assessed the film, the high only got doubled. My Editor felt that not a single line or scene can be removed due to length issues. We don't want to hurry through. We want the emotions and drama to be captured to their fullest. That's why we have decided to make the film in two parts. This is a consensual decision in the interest of detailing and depth," Koratala said.
He said that fans and movie lovers can expect the strongest characters, dread, and a huge canvas. 'Devara 1' is going to hit the cinemas on April 5, 2024.
The film, whose music is by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography is by Rathnavelu, is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts.
