Lokesh Kanagaraj 'forcing' Anirudh to do 'copy' tunes!

Anirudh Ravichander has often been accused of copying tunes from foreign albums. Even his 'Vikram' signature tune was copied from 'Tenet', music lovers opine. This time, he has been accused of plagiarising Otnicka’s song in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo'. Otnicka is a Belarusian musician. The song 'Ordinary Person' from 'Leo' is "heavily inspired" by 'Where Are You' from his 'Peaky Blinder'.

Otnicka has been flooded with hundreds of messages drawing his attention to the 'Leo' song. On his part, the composer has said that his permission was not sought by the makers of 'Leo'. He didn't accuse Anirudh of plagiarising, though.

Meanwhile, in a particular video clip, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is heard saying that it is he who asks Anirudh to fashion tunes after foreign albums. He apparently did so for 'Kaithi', 'Vikram' and 'Leo'. "I sent Anirudh funky, weird tracks that I liked. He would ask me for it. He will create wonders. He would send me a track and we retain if it works," the Kollywood filmmaker says in the video.

This makes one wonder if Anirudh has been "forced" to "copy" tunes.
