Superstar Rajinikanth has teamed up with Kollywood director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The mega combination has been brought about by Sun Pictures, whose recent film 'Jailer' is a monstrous hit. It's their immediate next collaboration with Rajini.
Touted to be an action thriller, this one is tentatively titled Thalaivar171.
Set to go on the floors in 2024, the untitled film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, the composer of Rajini's movies 'Petta' and the more recent 'Jailer'.
Anbariv will be composing the stunts. The name of the action director has been prominently mentioned on the announcement poster in a first.
Lokesh, who has previously directed 'Maanagaram', 'Kaithi' and 'Master' (besides 'Vikram' and the upcoming movie 'Leo'), is one of the biggest directors in the country. His collaboration with Rajini will be hugely awaited.
