Producers Bunny Vass and Vidya Koppineedi are remaking the 2021 movie 'Nayattu' (Malayalam) as 'Kota Bommali PS' in Telugu. Headlined by senior actor Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajasekhar, the film is in the news over the digital traction its song 'Lingi Lingi Lingidi' has gained. The makers held an event to celebrate the folksy song's hit status. Its music director, Midhun Mukundan, came in for appreciation.
Speaking on the occasion, actor Srikanth said, "I feel very happy that this film has shaped up so well. I feel that I have done such a good film after a long time."
Rahul Vijay said, "I have done four films, but this is the first time that I am participating in a success meet. GA 2 Pictures has organized this event to celebrate the success of a song. It will always be a good memory."
Shivani Rajasekhar said, "I am happy that this song is going viral. The movie is going to be as good as the song."
Director Teja Marni said, "It has been my dream to infuse a folk song into my film."
The political survival thriller film will have cinematography by Jagadish Cheekati. Ranjin Raj is its other music director.
