'Sita Ramam' actress Mrunal Thakur may have hit the bull's eye in Bollywood. She is said to have been roped in for a role in an upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. An official announcement is awaited.
If Bhansali has indeed roped her in, Telugu cinema must have played a crucial role in his decision. Mrunal has been going great guns in Tollywood. She awaits the release of 'Family Star', her most important movie since 'Hi Nanna'. Starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, the film is going to hit the cinemas on April 5.
Mrunal has done 'Super 30' and 'Batla House' in Hindi. However, these films have given little fillip to her Bollywood career, if at all. It is the stupendous success of 'Sita Ramam' that revamped her career like anything. If 'Family Star' becomes a box-office hit, she will be in contention for a few big-ticket Telugu projects.
