It was rumoured on Thursday that Prakash Raj would be joining the BJP. Some pro-BJP social media handles with thousands and even lakhs of followers stated that the multi-lingual actor would be joining the party at 3 pm.
The 'Vakeel Saab' and 'Waltair Veerayya' actor hit back at the rumour-mongers. "I guess they tried. Must have realised they were not rich enough (ideologically) to buy me. What do you think friends?" he wrote.
Prakash Raj has been vociferously against the BJP ideology. He contested as an Independent from Bengaluru in 2019 and lost badly. This time, he is supporting the INDI alliance. The actor is a supporter of TRS as well. After the party lost to Congress recently, he has maintained a neutral stance with respect to Telangana.
