The Film Nagar Cultural Centre in collaboration with All India Tennis Association (AITA) and Telangana State Tennis Association (TSTA) on Saturday launched the FNCC All India Men's Open Tennis Tournament in Hyderabad in the presence of actor Naga Shaurya and Arjun Award recipient Saket Maineni.
FNCC President G Adiseshagiri Rao, Chamundeshwari Nath (Sports Committee Chairman), and Secretary Mullapudi Mohan congratulated the players on the occasion. Vice President Tummala Ranga Rao, Joint Secretary VVSS Peddi Raju, committee members Kaja Suryanarayana, Edida Satish (Raja), TSTA President KR Raman, TSTA Vice President Ashok Kumar, TSTA Secretary Velmati Narayana Das, Jagadish, Madhu, Sandeep, Ramaraju and others were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Adiseshagiri Rao thanked the sponsors. He extended special thanks to Naga Shaurya.
Naga Shaurya said that he used to play professional tennis before becoming an actor. "I played state-level tournaments. It is a great pleasure to be invited as a guest for the event. All those selected for this tournament should play well and be successful," the 'Krishna Vrinda Vihari' actor said.
KL Narayana said, "We have the best tennis court, swimming pool, and shuttle codes in the city. We have supported those who have won the Arjuna Award as well as awards in sports tournaments by providing memberships."
Chamundeshwari Nath said that it was a pleasure to start the tournament. "We will conduct many more such tournaments before and after the FNCC," he added.
Mullapudi Mohan said, "All the top players are also participating in this tournament. Venkat Jasti, Chairman of Suran Life Sciences, who is sponsoring and supporting us, IVR Krishnamraju (HES Infra Private Limited MD), Health On Us Chairman P Sivakrishna, Legend Builders' Nageswara Rao, Telangana Tennis Association Secretary V Narayana Das and Telangana Tennis Association Vice President Ashok Rao need to be thanked. Men's tournaments which started today will continue till April 12. The women's tournament starts on the 13th and ends on the 19th."
