'Geethanjali Malli Vachindi' has been panned by film critics. The negative reviews have clearly upset Kona Venkat, who is one of the writers and producers of the horror-comedy.
Taking to social media, Kona Venkat said that "intellectual reviewers" haven't enjoyed his movie but the audience are on the other end of the spectrum, thoroughly loving some comedy scenes.
Unfortunately for Kona Venkat, his Twitter followers are in disagreement. The comments section is full of replies that say that the movie works only partially and that too because of the talented comedians Sathya and Sunil. "The 'method acting' episode is the only plus. The rest of the movie is bad. Even my kid was able to predict the story," a Netizen wrote.
The film's many comedians and many ghosts came together to set the audience's expectations right in its trailer. Whatever box-office traction this film might receive will be because of its status as a sequel.
