Sai Dharam Tej's 'Gaanja Shankar' with director Sampath Nandi and Sithara Entertainments was launched last year. It has now received a notice from the Telangana State Anti Narcotics Bureau.
The Bureau has asked the makers of the film to delete any scenes that could glamourise the usage of drugs. Sandeep Shandilya, the Director of the said body, is invoking relevant provisions in this regard.
In the last week of January, speculative media reports said that 'Gaanja Shankar' had been called off due to budgetary constraints. Sithara Entertainments, known for its meticulous financial planning, has opted to scrap the project. As such, the latest legal notice holds no importance.
