'Tantra' will head to theatres on March 15. The supernatural horror thriller stars Ananya Nagalla of 'Mallesham' and 'Vakeel Saab' fame as a village woman possessed by an evil spirit.
The creators announced the release date, humorously stating that the film is not suitable for "pilla bacchas" (young children). Why? The CBFC has given 'Tantra' a strict 'A' rating, indicating that its scares, visuals, themes, and performances are tailored for mature audiences who appreciate raw and intense content. The film's trailer is due to be released soon.
Headlined by Dhanush Raghumudri, 'Tantra' is produced by Naresh Babu P and Ravi Chaitanya. Director Srinivas Gopisetti (with a Walt Disney experience) seems to have cast the likes of Laxman Meesala of 'RX 100' fame and Temper Vamshi in atypical roles, with the latter playing a compromised practitioner of Tantra. Kushalini and Manoj Muthyam are part of the cast. Sai Ram Uday and Vijay Bhaskar Saddala have done the cinematography, while SB Uddhav is the Editor. With music by RR Dhruvan, the film's art direction is by Guru Murali Krishna.
