The proprietor of Mohini Theatre, a single-screen cinema in Gajuwaka, Andhra Pradesh, suffered a loss of Rs 20 lakh earmarked for the purchase of a 'Guntur Kaaram' print from the local distributor.
According to a television report, the theater proprietor handed over bundles of currency to the manager, who securely stored them in a locker. This money constituted the earnings from the successful two-week run of 'Salaar,' featuring Prabhas in the lead role, at Mohini Theatre. A formal police complaint has been filed.
'Guntur Kaaram' will head to the theatres on January 12. Its pre-release event has been postponed from January 6 to a future date. The trailer for the big-scale event will be out during the event.
