Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan', which has grossed about Rs 50 Cr since its release in Tamil for Pongal, is on its way to grossing one billion rupees soon. The sci-fi alien comedy will hit the cinemas in Telugu on January 26.
Producer Kotapadi J Rajesh, announcing the Telugu release, said that the film has been garnering public applause all around. "Due to quality VFX work and extensive graphics, the film was in the making for two years. The high-quality film is a benchmark and is the first such film in the history of southern cinema," he said.
Co-starring Yogi Babu and Karunakaran, the film has music by AR Rahman. Sharad Kelkar plays an honcho who is heralding something new. Also starring Rakul Preet Singh, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya and others, the film has cinematography done by Nirav Shah. Anbariv and T Muthuraj, respectively, are doing stunts and production design.
Critics have described 'Ayalaan' as a visual treat, a light-hearted comedy, and a sci-fi comedy that will surely entertain kids.
