In the teaser for 'Ayalaan', the focus is not a saviour-hero but on an alien. The Planet Earth has been damaged due to climate change to the extent that new energy is going to take form through a natural process after an apocalypse. News stories say that dinosaur eggs have been excavated. After a while, an alien descends on Earth, scaring and amusing the lead man played by Sivakarthikeyan, and his roomies played by Yogi Babu and Karunakaran.
The way the teaser ends, one feels director R Ravikumar is making an alien comedy-actioner. Producer Kotapadi J Rajesh is promising Hollywood-level VFX shots. He is counting on AR Rahman’s songs and the film's trailer, to be out in the next two months, to take the film's buzz to the next level.
In the film, besides the performances, Rahman's background music is expected to be top-notch. Co-starring Rakul Preet Singh, Isha Koppikar (wielding a gun in the teaser), Sharad Kelkar (seemingly the evil human in this sci-fi universe), Bhanupriya and others, the film has cinematography done by Nirav Shah, the reputable talent. Anbariv and T Muthuraj, respectively, are doing stunts and production design. The dance choreography is by Ganesh Acharya, Paresh Shirodkar and Sathish Krishnan.
The pan-India release will arrive for Sankranthi 2024.
