Nag Ashwin has plans to show a new world in 'Kalki 2898 AD'. The director will give a new company to Shambala, Kasi City, and The Complex, the three cities seen in the first part.
The sequel might also see the inclusion of ideas from some fan theories doing the rounds on social media.
The sequel will go on the floors only after extensive pre-production is completed. "A lot of prep has to be done before the actors can be brought back on set," Nag Ashwin said.
Recently, producer C Aswini Dutt said that about 60% of the shoot for the second part was completed during the making of the first part. But Nag Ashwin suggested that the quoted figure is exaggerated. The completed portions are much less.
On the box office front, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has grossed 14 million dollars in North America. It is on its way to surpassing the 'RRR' gross soon.
