Harish Sajja of Ficus, one of the distribution agencies in the US, breathed his last in Atlanta earlier today. A heart attack has been identified as the cause of his death.
It was with Jr NTR's 'Rakhee' in 2006 that Sajja began his career. He reigned supreme in the US, distributing many big-ticket Telugu movies from 2008 to 2016. His 2011 release, 'Dookudu', is a stand-out film in his career as a distributor. Earlier, he had distributed Rajinikanth's 'Enthiran' and 'Robot'.
He went to also distribute 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', Allu Arjun's 'Race Gurram', Mahesh Babu's '1 Nenokkadine', 'Aagadu', and Jr NTR's 'Janatha Garage'. Sajja's career was not a bed of roses. Some miscalculations he made as a distributor backfired. Jr NTR's 'Sakthi', Boyapati-directed 'Dammu', and Prabhas-starrer 'Ek Niranjan' are a case in point. A couple of Mahesh Babu movies, which he had bought for a high price, didn't do well.
