'Double iSmart' is slated to be released in theatres on August 15. The other day, a song titled 'Maar Muntha Chod Chinta' from the movie was released.
In the song, there is a reference to KCR's hilarious 'Em jeddamantaav mari?' line. When KCR was the CM of Telangana, he happened to use it when a journalist posed an uncomfortable question against his administration. Since then, the line has been used by memers, sometimes even in sexual contexts. None of the memers or YouTubers have faced any trouble over the years.
Puri Jagannadh felt that using the phrase in the item song would lend a touch of hilarity. He has now run into trouble with BRS. A couple of leaders from the party have lodged a police complaint against him. Their demand is that the use of the line in the context of an item song is disrespectful towards KCR. They want it to be removed from the song.
