'Double iSmart', written and directed by Puri Jagannnadh, has Ram Pothineni in his element. At least, that's what the film's teaser makes us believe. Released on Wednesday in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, the teaser is a riot. "Igniting the double dose of action, entertainment, and mass elation (sic)," wrote the makers.
The characterization is intact from the first installment of the 'iSmart' duology. Ram plays an energetic character who is put in a lab. "If you plan a movie with me without my consent, I have a 'guddu'-burn," he says in his inimitable style.
Sanjay Dutt's character makes a swashbuckling entry as a madman who is on a rampage, killing his rivals indiscriminately. Starring Kavya Thapar as the heroine, the film is produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under Puri Connects.
Bani J, Ali, Getup Sreenu, Sayaji Shinde, Makrand Deshpande, and Temper Vamsi will also be seen. With music by Mani Sharma, the film has cinematography by Sam K Naidu and Gianni Giannelli. Edited by Karthika Sreenivas R, its production design is by Jonny Shaik. The VFX is by Anil Paduri. Kecha Khamphakdee and Real Sathish are doing the stunts.
