The Telugu film industry is making moves to reach out to the Telangana government regarding the Gaddar Awards, proposed by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister of Cinematography Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy. The Telugu Film Trade Council and the Telugu Film Producers Council today expressed their gratitude for the efforts put in towards the growth and well-being of the Telugu film industry.
Representatives of organizations related to the Telugu film industry met with the CM a few days ago. In that meeting, the CM inquired about the industry's status. Expressing happiness that Telugu cinema is gaining recognition globally, he informed them that the new government will support all aspects of the Telugu film industry's development in Telangana. He also touched upon the Gaddar Awards on the occasion.
The TFPC has communicated to the Telangana Film Development Corporation a set of guidelines concerning Gaddar Awards. The guidelines for the Gaddar Awards will be prepared by the TFDC in consultation with the government. "We would like to express our gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. A. Revanth Reddy and Mr. Komati Reddy Venkata Reddy for supporting the further development of the film industry in Telangana state," P Bharath Bhushan of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce said. The awards will be given every year.
The TFDC discussed the formation of a committee related to the awards. The Telugu Film Board of Trade and the Telugu Film Producers Council appointed a committee and submitted those procedures to the TFDC.
