With the ruling YCP receiving a drubbing in the AP Assembly elections, two Tollywood producers are elated. The first one is C Aswini Dutt and the second one is DVV Danayya.
Aswini Dutt's stakes are super-high. He is planning to release 'Kalki 2898 AD' on June 27. He had taken a firm, audacious stand against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government after Chandrababu Naidu's arrest last year. There was talk that the YCP government would be making him pay the price if it retained power. Dutt is not only a Naidu supporter but also made overt statements saying that 160 seats is the minimum that the TDP-Jana Sena duo would be securing. YCP Ministers would have bayed for the blood of 'Kalki 2898 AD' by slashing ticket prices.
DVV Danayya is producing 'OG' with Pawan Kalyan in the lead. With Jana Sena's stocks at their highest, Pawan is now a phenomenon of sorts. The bump effect will result in massive openings for 'OG' regardless of its content. Just the trailer needs to be very good. The next six months are going to witness an unprecedented Pawan mania in AP.
