'Kalki 2898 AD' is slated to hit the cinemas on May 9. So far, promotions haven't been rolled out.
On Saturday, the Election Commission of India notified the election schedule. Lok Sabha elections in Telangana and Assembly elections (together with LS polls) in Andhra Pradesh are slated to be held on May 13.
In light of the election schedule, the speculation in the town is that the makers of 'Kalki 2898 AD' might postpone their movie because it might not be wise to release a big-ticket film in the heat of polling.
Earlier, the elections in the Telugu States were expected to be over by May 9. But the polls have been delayed compared to the two previous election cycles.
Vyjayanthi Movies is producing the film. Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan, Dulquer Salmaan and others are part of the cast.
