'Gangs of Godavari' will hit the cinemas on May 31. The action drama features Vishwak Sen as a gangster named Lankala Ratna. Contrary to what has been presumed about the movie's story, it is not a revenge actioner. From the looks of it, the trailer leaves none in doubt that Sen is playing an ambitious, hyper-aggressive, hyper-angry wannabe leader in this semi-political drama.
Anjali's character is more important than that of Neha Shetty. Is there a twist or two in store? The trailer leaves many things to the imagination of the viewer.
Sen's raw energy is the best feature. Director Krishna Chaitanya has treated the lead man without filters. The mercurial energy coursing through the trailer, one hopes, will be there for at least 40 minutes of the screen time. If that happens, Sen could deliver his career's biggest hit.
Goparaju Ramana, Sai Kumar and Nasser will be seen in prominent roles in this rural action drama set in Rajahmundry. Produced by S Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas, the film's music has been done by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
