Actor Sayaji Shinde has joined a political party. He will now be part of the National Congress Party's Ajit Pawar faction in Maharashtra. Pawar, for the unversed, is one of the Deputy CMs of Maharashtra.
Shinde, who is known for his appearances in a number of Telugu movies, joined the NCP in the presence of Pawar, NCP National President Praful Patel, State NCP President Sunil Tatkare and Chhagan Bhujbal.
Shinde is seen in this week's Telugu release, 'Maa Nanna Superhero', co-starring Sudheer Babu and Sai Chand. He was catapulted to fame by Chiranjeevi's 'Tagore' in 2003. His later appearances include 'Shankar Dada Zindabad', 'Pokiri', 'Gudumba Shankar', 'Oosaravelli', 'Mr. Perfect', 'Businessman', 'Race Gurram' and others.
More recently, Shinde called on Pawan Kalyan to make a suggestion regarding the distribution of a plant along with prasadam in temples could enhance greenery.
