‘Journey’ depicts the life journey of 4 youth. The film features Sharwanand, Ananya, Jai and Anjali in lead roles and was directed by Saravanan. The film is right now being dubbed under the supervision of writer Sahiti. Sharwanand had recently dubbed his own voice for his character in Telugu. He said, “Engeyum Eppothum is a sensational hit in Tamil. I’m very happy to have acted in one such wonderful film. The film completed 30 days in 150 theaters and is still running in theaters with houseful collections. This film is based on two different love stories. There is also a good message in this film. The interesting part is the audience is giving a standing ovation after every show. I’m completely satisfied that I’ve done a good film. Murugadoss is well known to all. He directed films like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Stalin’ and now turned producer through this film. This indicates how confident he was on this story. Producer Suresh Kondeti is giving good publicity for this film without compromising anywhere. I hope this ‘Journey’ will give me yet another success in Telugu.”
Lyricist and dialogue writer Sahiti said, “Journey is a wonderful painting. In my 35 years of film career I’ve never seen one such sensitive and well treated film. There are altogether 5 songs out of which 4 are highly melodious songs and the remaining one is a mass number. Satya recorded all the songs. Director dealt extremely well with the storyline and shot the film as per the latest trend. This film will give a wonderful experience that will last long for few years. Sharwanand, Ananya are one pair and Jai and Anjali are the second pair. All of them gave natural performance. While Sharwanand dubbed his own voice for the character he portrayed, a popular dubbing artist Vasu lent his voice for Jai. My best wishes to Suresh Kondeti for dubbing one such beautiful film. I worked hard to bring the original feel while writing the dialogues and lyrics. I whole-heartedly wish the film a grand success.”
Dubbing artist Vasu said, “Engeyum Eppothum is the biggest hit in Tamil. Now the same is going to be released in Telugu as ‘Journey’. I hope this movie will become a big hit in Telugu as well. I dubbed my voice for Jai. There is a good message along with good entertainment in this film.”
Producer Suresh Kondeti said, “I wanted to come up with a yet another good film after ‘Premisthe’, ‘Shopping Mall’ and ‘Naanna’. Hence I chose to dub ‘Journey’. Everyone would have understood by now the range of film as it was produced by the sensational director like Murugadoss. Director Shankar also produced the film like ‘Premisthe’ despite directing many sensational hits. Similar is the case with Murugadoss. His student Saravanan directed this film. We are going to release ‘Journey’ shortly. The songs recording were recently completed. Right now the unit is busy in dubbing. This movie was made with a budget of Rs 5 crores and the trade pundits estimated a gross of Rs 15 crores when the film was released. However it has crossed Rs 40 lakhs and created a new record now. I hope that the Telugu version will also create box-office records and I also hope that the Telugu audience will give us a huge success.”
