The release date of Rajnikanth’s much hyped movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’ was rescheduled several times in the past and finally assigned it as December 12th, 2013 marking Rajnikanth’s birthday on that day. But now the makers are apparently pushing the film to January 10, 2014. Titled ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ (extra ‘i’ for numerological reasons), this multi-lingual period film (titled Vikrama Simha in Telugu) which is written by K S Ravi Kumar and directed by Soundarya R Ashwin features super star Rajniknath in dual role and
Deepika Padukone, R Sarath Kumar, Aadi, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Nassar and Jackie Shroff. AR Rahman is rendering music. Rajiv Menon is handling the camera for this 3D film which is being shot with motion capture in 3D format. The Rs 125 crore giant budget film is reportedly getting delayed only for one reason and that is post production works. While the film was shot in different parts of the world, the post production works are also going on in China, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, London and India. Produced under Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment, the film will be released worldwide through Eros International banner.
