‘Columbus’ starring Young hero Sumanth Ashwin as the lead, has wrapped up the shooting part and currently post-production works are in progress. After scoring consecutive successes with the films ‘Lovers’ and ‘Kerintha’, Sumanth Ashwin is coming up with this film and ‘Discovery of Love’ is the tag line. Ashwini Kumar Sahadev is producing this film under R Samala’s direction under AK Entertainments banner. R Samala is being introduced as director.
Briefing about the film’s details, Sumanth Ashwin said, “‘Columbus’ is a feel good love story. My role in the film will be very lovely. The film will impress family audience also along with the youth. My role has ample scope to perform. R Samala, who worked as writer for the film ‘Ishq’, is being introduced as director through this film. Though this is the first film for him, he crafted it wonderfully. After scoring consecutive successes with the films ‘Lovers’ and ‘Kerintha’, I took up this project. I’m extremely confident that I will get yet another success through this film.”
“We have completed the shooting part as planned before. Director has crafted the film wonderfully like how he narrated. Sumanth Ashwin’s character in the film will be very exciting. Sumanth Ashwin’s success streak will continue. ‘Columbus’ is a youthful entertainer. Hero and heroine characters will connect to every guy and a girl respectively. The film will impress family audience also along with the youth. Jithin has provided excellent music for all six songs in the film. We are planning to release the audio in the second half of October and the film in the first week of November.”
Seerath Kapoor and Mishti Chakraborthy are playing female leads opposite Sumanth Ashwin.
