Saiee Manjrekar of 'Dabangg 3' fame is all set to debut in Telugu with 'Major'. Starring Adivi Sesh in the lead, the Telugu-Hindi bilingual is coming in the direction of Sashi Kiran Tikka in Summer 2021.
"We are happy that Saiee is on board. She is ravishing and has got an intense role in 'Major', which is inspired by the life of NSG commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008," the makers said on Thursday.
Starring Sobhita Dhulipala in a key role, the film will resume its shoot in Hyderabad sometime in October. Contrary to media reports, 'Major' is not a thriller.
"More than 50 percent of the filming is already done," the makers said, giving an update.
Sony Pictures Films India, Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies are producing the film jointly.
