'Major' is heading to theatres on June 3. On Monday, its trailer was released at an event held in the presence of Mahesh Babu in Hyderabad. The trailers of the Malayalam and Hindi versions were released by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Salman Khan, respectively.
Director Sashi Kiran Tikka has cast Adivi Sesh in the role of a naturally heroic youngster, who, as a soldier, says that Pak-occupied Kashmir is Indian territory. This sets up the tone for the film's patriotic and adventurous streak.
Set in the backdrop of the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai's landmark spaces, 'Major' boasts of seemingly tasteful music by Sricharan Pakala and excellent visuals by Vamsi Patchipulusu. Prakash Raj as the hero's father, and Revathi's as the hero's mother are joined by three other main characters played by Murali Sharma (Major Sandeep's superior), Sobhitha Dhulipaka (as a victim of the terror attacks), and Saiee Manjrekar (as a young girl who is bowled over by Major Sandeep's charms and heroism).
