'Master', starring Vijay in the lead, released in theatres on January 13. Since it has been declared a box-office hit, producer Mahesh Koneru has thanked the audience profusely.
Speaking at a presser, the producer said, "Our movie is running to packed houses in the Telugu States. This is the best in Vijay's career in terms of collections for the Telugu version. Barring a couple of territories, it has already achieved break-even figures in the rest of the territories. I thank the Telugu audience for this grand hit."
Koneru further said, "I thank Thalapathy Vijay and the producers of the Tamil original for the opportunity. I also thank Dil Raju garu, Rajesh garu and KFC Entertainments for distributing the movie in Nizam, Andhra and Ceded, respectively. East Bharath Chowdhary garu, West Usha Pictures, Krishna Rajesh, Guntur Padmakar Cinemas, Nellore Dr Pawan Kumar garu and others have been with me throughout."
Koneru said that he is confident about bagging one more Vijay movie after this.
He also touched upon some allegations made by a distributor recently. The distributor in question had alleged that Dil Raju has worked against 'Krack' to favour 'Master'. "In Nizam, we released 'Master' in 160 theatres on Day 1. On Day 2, the number came down to 80 because of the arrival of 'RED' and 'Alludu Adhurs'. We all have been cooperative in these tough times. Personal attacks are uncalled for," Koneru said.
