The film industry has been facing a lot of troubles due to the pandemic. Given the crisis in which the industry has been mired in, forward-looking producers have become quite valuable. One such producer has to be Kiran K Talasila, who looks solidly poised to carve a name for himself in 2021. A banking professional who has been working in the US for couple decades (he is associated with big names like JP Morgan, HSBC, Barclays), Kiran is gearing up for the release of 'Crazy Uncles'. But, his journey of 2021 is not limited to this family entertainer. It's just the continuation of a long journey.
Kiran is simultaneously engaged in bringing out three other projects. And they all are super interesting. If the title 'Godhari Kathalu' reflects Telugu-ness, the title 'Goldman' suggests that we are in for some nice drama. Yet another film is titled 'Naluguritho Narayana', which is quite a rooted title. "These films will hit the screens by April 2021. Kiran has been working hard and dabbling in the four projects with a lot of confidence," a source says.
As the co-producer of 'Bhale Manchi Chowka Beram' (2018), Kiran has gained hands-on experience in the last couple of years. Since his debut, he has ably managed the Kannada film 'Nanna Prakara' and the Telugu-Tamil thriller 'Seven', both of which were 2019 outings. In the same year, he was the associate producer of the Tamil movie 'Gorilla', which starred Jeeva and 'Arjun Reddy' fame Shalini Pandey. "Kiran has got an in-depth understanding of the craft. In a short span of time, he has learned a great deal to be a producer of mettle," the source comments.
Equipped with practical knowledge, Kiran has also set his foot in the coveted Bollywood. He is producing 'Ae Kaash Ke Hum', a promising film starring young actor Vivaan Shan (Naseeruddin Shah's son), Priya Singh and Sophia Singh in the lead. This one, too, will release in 2021.
Kiran comes with a vision. He wants to make meaningful films that make sense and cater to the audience of different languages. We learn that Kiran has got a plan to introduce new talents through his films. "This pandemic season, his projects have created livelihood opportunities for many. As a producer with his own set of values, he will do everything he can to bring out new talents," the source adds.
Tapping into the potential of Digital Media
The producer has also been going strong on the YouTube space. His East Face Entertainment company has been dishing out superb content in three categories: Kids, Music, Entertainment. Through the channels Cool Buddies (for kids), Movie Bricks (for the youth segment), and Music Boat (for families), which can be accessed through myeastface.com, Kiran is keeping lovers of entertainment constantly engaged.
A new feather in the cap!
Kiran Talasila is soon going to add a new feather in the cap. The passionate producer is going to turn into an actor. It will be interesting to see what kind of roles Kiran will play on the big screen.
