'Republic', which was released in theatres on October 1, is out to stream on ZEE5 from November 26. A political actioner, the film is directed by Deva Katta. Sai Dharam Tej and Aishwarya Rajesh are seen as the lead pair.
The OTT platform is banking on the theme and popularity of Deva Katta among movie-goers. Before its theatrical release, the filmmaker said, "My film doesn't target anyone individually. 'Republic' talks about political pressures on bureaucracy, but it is just one of the aspects of the story. The common man likes it when his favourite political leader abuses power."
Starring also Ramya Krishna and Jagapathi Babu, 'Republic' was described by the director as a pro-life movie. "By pro-life, I mean a person who enhances life. 'Republic' is about his actions and thinking," he said, talking about his protagonist's actions.
