Sai Dharam Tej-starrer 'Republic' was released on ZEE5 as a post-theatrical outing a few weeks ago. It has clocked millions of viewing minutes since then. 'Oka Chinna Family Story', a five-episode web series, is an Original from the OTT platform. The success of 'OCFS' and 'Republic' was celebrated by the teams of the film and ZEE5 together the other day.
Padma Kasturirangan, Vice-President of Telugu original content (ZEE5), stated that the film and the web series turned out to be blockbusters on our platform. She thanked everyone who has made it possible.
Deva Katta, the director of 'Republic', suggested that the film has clicked with those audiences who have been missing socially conscious movies such as 'Prathighatana'. He thanked Sai Dharam Tej for believing in him.
Mega Daughter Niharika Konidela, who produced 'Oka Chinna Family Story', said, that ZEE5 is very particular about the content they want to bring out. "I am happy that the OTT platform has streamed not only 'OCFS' but also 'Muddapappu Avakai' and 'Nanna Kuchi', my previous outings. 'OCFS' is a single-thread story," she added, thanking director Mahesh Uppala and co-writer Manasa Sharma.
Prasad Nimmakayala, Vice-President-Telugu Movies at ZEE Studios, said, gave a thumbs-up to the teams that made 'Republic' and 'OCFS'. Lloyd Xavier, Marketing Director at ZEE5, also participated.
