The elections for the 7-year-old Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce will be held on November 14. On Saturday, its notification was issued. Catering to the needs of 8000 cine workers and comprising a team of 800 producers and 400 TMAA artists from Telangana, TFCC has got 140 movies certified by the CBFC under its aegis. TFCC has been making it easy for producers since its inception. The term of its 30-member Executive Committee is going to come to an end on November 14.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Lion Patrani Ramakrishna Goud said, "It has been seven years since TFCC came into existence. It was ridiculed by many sceptics. But we have been hugely successful. During the lockdown last year and this year, we reached out to 20,000 cine workers by giving them ration and financial assistance. TFCC has been taking up welfare measures every year."
Health cards worth Rs 5 lakh have been distributed to artists. Their children, too, have been given scholarship assistance. "We recently met with Telangana CM KCR garu to talk about housing. 10 acres of land will be allocated by the government. Coming to the TFCC elections, on the same day, the elections for Telangana Movie Artists Association will be held," the members added.
