On Sunday, the core team of 'Liger' was at a mall in Navi Mumbai to promote their movie. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday led the promotional event. They got on to the stage to deliver speeches.
By then, thousands of onlookers had been waiting for them. Each floor, including the floor on which the podium was set up, was bustling with teeming crowds. As the 'Arjun Reddy' actor began his speech, the crowds became uncontrollable, forcing the actor to decide to end the event abruptly.
A source says that the crowds refused to maintain discipline despite VD's requests. Keeping in mind their safety, the 'Jana Gana Mana' actor discontinued his speech.
'Liger', which is directed by Puri Jagannadh, is slated to hit the cinemas on August 25. Two songs from the pan-India flick are out so far.
