A new project titled 'Thera' was today launched in the direction of Sri Chand. Produced by Radiant Reels, the film is presented by Sri Cinema. The film's muhurtham event today was attended by director VN Aditya, senior cinematographer S Gopal Reddy and others.
Speaking on the occasion, theatre artist Gummadu Gopalakrishna said that Sri Chand has come out with an exciting story. "There is a song on the greatness of father in the movie. The director himself has penned it," he added.
Hero Kotla Hanumantha Rao said that 'Thera' is going to be magical. The film will feature only theatre artists, much like the Marathi movie 'Nata Samrat'.
Telangana government's Cultural Director Mamidi Harikrishna said, "Director Sri Chand has resolved to make a content-driven movie. He wants to do a socially-conscious movie. I have listened to the story of 'Thera'. It's so nice and I wish the team all the best."
Director Sri Chand said, "The film tells the story of two generations and is the story of a father and his son. You won't find a comedy track, you won't find an item song in the movie."
'Thera' also features members from the famous Surabhi troupe, among others.
