There are action films. Then there are epic action films like 'KGF 2'. There is little doubt that cinema-lovers across India are madly in love with films of this sort. Come April 14, when 'KGF 2' hits the cinemas, we will see the cash registers ringing and online ticketing going on a rampage.
Rampage reminds us of Rocky Bhai, the lead character in 'KGF 2'. If the trailer, released today, is any indication, Yash has nailed it. His body language, the dialogues he mouths, the world-building in which he revels... everything is amazing.
Writer-director Prashanth Neel is in supreme form, retaining the immersive experience of the first chapter of 'KGF'. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the frames in the trailer are edgy. Presented in Telugu by Vaaraahi Chalana Chaitram, the film has Sanjay Dutt playing Adheera. His get-up is in sync with this actioner of epic proportions.
The mix of politics makes the universe of 'KGF 2' heady. We see Raveena Tandon throwing a challenge, gladly accepted by our hero, who says that he avoids violence but he can't help it because violence can't stay away from him!
Also featuring Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Malvika Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Rao Ramesh, Eshwari Rao, Archana Jois, T. S. Nagabharana, Saran, Avinash, and several others, the film has fights by Anbariv. The action blocks are not routine. They are interspersed with larger-than-life moments that come in the form of violent verbal exchanges.
