'Kantara', written and directed by Rishab Shetty (who is also its male lead), will head to theatres in Telugu on October 14. Its Kannada original was released on September 30, clashing with 'Ponniyin Selvan-I'. The film has been running to packed houses in Karnataka.
Describing the action thriller with mythical elements as a "Divine Blockbuster', producer Allu Aravind today said that he will be releasing its Telugu version in the Telugu States.
Sapthami Gowda will be seen as a constable and Rishab Shetty's pair in the movie. Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Shanil Guru, and Prakash Thuminad have key roles. B Ajaneesh Loknath and Arvind S Kashyap are its music director and cinematographer, respectively.
The film's Kannada original is produced by Hombale Films of 'KGF' fame.
