‘Bimbisara’ started streaming on Zee5 on October 21, marking Diwali. The Nandamuri Kalyan Ram-starrer is streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The news is that, within 48 hours of its release on OTT, the Mallidi Vassishta-directed fantasy actioner has amassed a whopping 100 million streaming minutes.
In a statement, the OTT platform today revealed that Bimbisara's is the biggest Diwali week opening since Zee5's inception. The fans of the movie welcomed the movie by holding celebrations in Vijayawada and Hyderabad.
In a statement, Kalyan Ram said that he is overwhelmed by the thumping response for 'Bimbisara'. The film's director added that 'Bimbisara' will remain very close to his heart as it’s a product of his love for fantasies and fascination for historical characters and stories.
Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 India observed that the platform is proud to be presenting exciting films. Zee5 has also seen success with Nikhil Siddhartha's 'Karthikeya 2' and Arya's 'Captain' as well, he added.
