"A long-awaited dream finally comes true. We are thrilled to welcome Singeetam Srinivasa Rao garu to our epic. His creative superpowers will surely be a guiding force for us." This is what Vyjayanthi Movies said when the veteran director Singeetam was onboarded for 'Project K' in 2020.
More than two years later, the name Singeetam hasn't been heard in the context of the Prabhas-Nag Ashwin movie. There have been rumours that the 'Mahanati' director and the veteran have had creative differences, owing to which the latter opted out of the project recently.
Putting the record straight, Singeetam has said that he was never meant to be the film's mentor. By virtue of the fact that 'Project K' has a time-travel element, Singeetam was approached for his suggestions. After all, the veteran has 'Aditya 369' to his credit. After rendering his insights, Singeetam took leave from the project. It was supposed to be that way, if his words are anything to go by.
