The YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh has been perceived to be intolerant of criticism. We all know how films like 'Vakeel Saab' and 'Bheemla Nayak' were sought to be damaged. Even apolitical actors like Natural Star Nani have been abused by YCP functionaries for making totally business-centric comments on ticket prices.
In the latest instance, producer C Aswini Dutt has criticized the YS Jaganmohan Reddy government in an indirect political tone. Commenting on the Nandi Awards being put on the back burner, the Vyjayanthi Movies supremo quipped that, these days, the government is interested only in Best Goonda and Best Rowdy awards. A known TDP sympathizer, Dutt suggested that the film industry will have to wait for Chandrababu Naidu to return to power for the Nandi Awards to be back to their previous glory in a couple of years.
Needless to say, Dutt might just have invited a hell lot of trouble for 'Project K', starring Prabhas as the hero. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film will hit the cinemas on January 12 next year unless postponed. Jagan will still be the CM at that time.
