The young starlet who played Mrunal Tharku's sister in 'Hi Nanna' is a debutante in Telugu. She is Drishty Talwar, who has previously done a Punjabi film which made her famous in the casting department circles.
After she bagged Natural Star Nani's film, she caught the attention of the budding Tollywood director Raaj Virat, who recently cast her in a dark comedy headlined by Thiruveer of 'Masooda' fame. This film will be her full-fledged acting debut in Telugu.
Drishty bagged the film even before 'Hi Nanna' hit the cinemas. The fledgling artist has a gorgeous screen presence but it has to be seen how she will look as a heroine.
Her Telugu debut, which is yet to be titled, is produced by Mahesh Chandu and Sai Shashank. With music by Leon James (of 'Das Ka Dhamki' fame), the film has cinematography by Sujatha Siddarth.
Drishty's Punjabi debut 'Chobbar' was released in theatres in November 2022.
