It was earlier today reported by the national media that limited-screen properties of PVR-Inox, the country's biggest exhibitor network, will not be showing Prabhas' 'Salaar' across India. Kamal Gianchandani, the President of the Multiplex Association of India, has since condemned the reports. It is believed that there has been a friendly truce between Hombale Films and the multiplex chain.
"No one has greater respect and appreciation for all the producers releasing their films in our theatres than all of us at PVRINOX. Commercial disagreements are par for the course with big films releasing on the same date," the statement read. It was mentioned that all rumours have to be put to rest by the media.
The strong statement came in after many pro-'Salaar' media reports shamed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for allegedly making PVR-Inox snub Prabhas' film so that 'Dunki' enjoys the maximum showings in the Hindi belt. 'Dunki' releases in theatres on December 21, while 'Salaar' on the next day, that is, December 22.
