Vijay Deverakonda's 12th film is helmed by 'Jersey' director Gowtam Tinnanuri. The project was announced for Sankranthi this year.
The intense action thriller commenced its shoot on Friday, six months after the first announcement. "Vijay and a few other cast members participated in the shoot at Sarathi Studios in Hyderabad," the makers said.
Sithara Entertainments put out a poster in which the hero, playing a spy/cop, is seen holding a gun. Sree Leela, who turned a year older earlier this week, is pairing up with the 'Kushi' actor for the first time ever.
Also produced by Fortune Four Cinemas, the film comes with music by Anirudh Ravichander. With cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, VD12 has editing and art direction by Naveen Nooli and Avinash Kolla, respectively.
