Recently, there were reports that SS Rajamouli's next project will have a grand launch on Mahesh Babu's birthday in August. In his latest interview, writer KV Vijayendra Prasad spoke a bit about the globetrotting adventure-action drama.
The most exciting part of the 'RRR' writer's interview is that a franchise is being considered. In other words, Superstar Mahesh Babu's 29th movie might well have newer editions years after its theatrical release.
Prasad reiterated that the genre is along the lines of the 'Indiana Jones' series. And the film will be emotional like 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'.
The climax of the film will be open-ended in nature. This will give Rajamouli the scope to expand it into a franchise.
Vijayendra Prasad, who also wrote the 'Baahubali' movies, revealed that the script might be completed by the end of July.
The project was firmed up in 2020, much before the release of 'RRR'. Three years later, the scripting work is still not finished. There are reports that the film might go on floors in the Summer of 2024. Its release will be in 2026 in that case.
