The promo of the limited edition of the talk show 'Unstoppable' on Aha Video is out. And the brand of humour on the offer seems to be second-rate.
When guest Anil Ravipudi says, "Mana iddaram kalisi first time chestunnam", host Balakrishna mischievously retorts, "Enti?!". At this, the director breaks into an embarrassed laugh.
Phrases like 'Ekkada padithe akkada pettuko' and 'Boothulu oddu' have been deployed to generate interest in the October 17th episode, to be released ahead of the theatrical release of 'Bhagavanth Kesari'. We can be sure that one or two other double-meaning jokes would be cracked in the presence of Kajal Aggarwal and Sree Leela.
The viewers have already had enough of this style of comedy already. One wonders why the makers of 'Unstoppable' think the same stale jokes will work. Our talk shows should learn from Hindi shows that go beyond double-meaning jokes, innuendos, self-boastful lines (by the host), etc.
