SRK's Meer Foundation screens 'Jawan' for underprivileged kids, others

Shah Rukh Khan's Meer Foundation, which was founded in 2013, has been rendering vocational training, counseling services, medical aid and legal services for the benefit of women. It has worked closely with acid attack survivors as well.

The news is that the NGO has screened 'Jawan', SRK's latest blockbuster, for underprivileged individuals. Red Chillies Entertainment collaborated with several NGOs for the same. "I think we are moving in the right direction and helping as many as we can to lead a happier life," the 'Pathaan' star said, adding that the screenings were his idea.

The screenings are targeted at socio-economically deprived kids, slum-dwellers, differently-abled persons, Anganwadi workers and others.

'Jawan', directed by Atlee, has grossed more than Rs 1000 Cr. Released on September 7, the action entertainer features Vijay Sethupathi as the villain.
