'Lal Salaam', starring Superstar Rajinikanth in a key role, was released today in Tamil and Telugu. As per early trade reports, the film has been shunted out of existence by Ravi Teja's 'Eagle'.
A trade report says that the openings in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are absurdly low. The film took off to a sleepy start at noon. The occupancy levels are as dismal as 10%. In contrast, 'Eagle' is enjoying all the attention this week, especially with 'Yatra 2', too, falling apart.
'Lal Salaam' is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. With Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, its music is by AR Rahman. The film is produced by Lyca Productions, which is currently also making Shankar's 'Indian 2', Thalaivar170, and Ajith's 'Vidaamuyarchi'.
