At a political rally on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi targeted the Bachchan family over being invited to the recent Ram Mandir consecration event in Ayodhya. The Congress leader said, “Aishwarya will be seen dancing and (Amitabh) Bachchan saab will do a Balle Balle." The PM aspirant described Aishwarya Rai as a "nachne-wali" person.
RaGa's comments have been deemed sexist and indecent. "He has reduced the actress and former beauty queen to an entity who dances for others' amusement. This is a disrespectful way of referring to someone in a political rally," a Netizen wrote.
Mohan Sinha, a columnist, added, "Poor Aishwarya Rai. She doesn’t say anything to anyone. Never comments on the stuff about her on social media. Doesn’t abuse anyone. She wasn’t even there in Ayodhya on the big day. Yet she is the softest target for everyone from any Lallu on Twitter to a Pappu from the dynasty."
