Sai Dharam Tej aka Sai Durgha Tej's 18th movie is directed by a newcomer named Rohith KP. PrimeShow Entertainment has released a video and there are the makings of a couple of recent popular movies.
The male lead's look itself feels like heavy rehash of Vikram's look from the recent 'Thangalaan'. These days, actors who want to look author-backed on the screen just go for messy hair and a heavy beard.
And the world in which the film is set (Aracady is its name) feels like another attempt at repeating a 'Kantara', a 'Thangalaan' and a bit of 'Virupaksha'.
Since SDT is playing the role of a leader who leads his people in times of crisis, everything depends on how breath-taking the world-building is, how novel the hero's characterization is, and how dangerous the opponent is.
A better video should have introduced SDT18 to the audience. The pan-Indian movie, also starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, will head to theatres in 2025.
